Atlantic City offers a comprehensive sports program designed to engage students in physical activity, teamwork, and personal development. The program includes a wide variety of athletic opportunities, ranging from traditional team sports such as basketball, soccer, and track and field to specialized activities like volleyball. By participating in these programs, students develop essential skills such as discipline, time management, and sportsmanship, while also building confidence and resilience. The schools emphasize inclusivity, encouraging students of all skill levels to try new sports, discover their strengths, and experience the benefits of regular physical activity in a safe and supportive environment.

The selection process for teams balances skill evaluation with a commitment to fostering student growth and enjoyment of athletics. Coaches use structured tryouts, practice performance, and demonstrated teamwork to ensure fair placement on teams, while also providing opportunities for students to receive individual coaching and skill development throughout the season. Beyond competition, students participate in intramural events, tournaments, and community sports activities that promote camaraderie, school spirit, and healthy competition. The program also emphasizes the importance of balancing athletics with academics, teaching students responsibility and perseverance as they learn to manage both their studies and their commitment to their teams.

Middle School Volleyball Playoffs

The Atlantic City Elementary Sports Program middle school volleyball playoffs are underway, bringing together district schools for an exciting showcase of teamwork, skill, and sportsmanship. Best of luck to all our student-athletes as they compete and represent their schools with pride! 🏐

Middle School Travel Team beats Hammonton at home
Our Boys Travel Soccer Team picked up their second win of the season with a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Hamilton Township! It was a true team effort, with standout performances from Elias Aquino-Rivera, Carlos Carias-Ulloa, Zavieon Howard-Haines, Orlin Maldonado Lopez, and Antony Tejeda Rodriguez. Way to go, team!
